"Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp" has a troublesome time with the critics, however its most harsh detractor may simply be Palin's vintage "Dancing with the celebrities" buddy, Kyle Massey.
Massey, his brother and mom have filed a lawsuit towards the truth show's manufacturing company, Related Tv Global (ATI), claiming copyright infringement, breach of agreement and unfair competition.
"We created the display, registered the show and did the entire leg paintings to carry this idea to TELEVISION and to [ATI], who stole our concept," Massey's mom, Angela, said, in line with trade gossip website Deadline.
BIO canceled a truth display starring Palin and the Massey brothers, which was then picked up by Lifetime -- minus the Masseys -- and was "Life's a Tripp."
"These types of disputes floor always in television," Michael Elkin, dealing with spouse of Winston & Strawn in New York, who focuses on intellectual-property law, said.

Among the issues the Masseys want to turn out to win the case, he said, is they supplied "enough element" to the manufacturers and that there's "really extensive similarity" among the proposed collection and the aired show.
"If it is simply the [collection] idea or a few ideas, it is not sufficient ...A DISTANT It needs to be sufficiently fleshed out," Elkin said.
According to Nielsen, the top-quality of "Life's a Tripp" drew 726,000 viewers.
