A new billboard submit in Tampa by School of South Florida Govt Affiliate Athletic Director Invoice McGillis announces that USF is now one in every of Florida's "MASSIVE Four", within the wake of USF's victory over Florida State.
The billboard, positioned on northbound Interstate 275 prior to the I-4 interchange, has the phrases "LARGE 3'' with the "3'' crossed out and changed by a "4.''USF's emblem is positioned subsequent to trademarks from the Seminoles, Gators and Hurricanes with those phrases underneath:
"Welcome to the Membership Bulls Fans!''
But no longer individuals are pleased with the message of the sign, together with USF instruct Jim Leavitt.
"We haven't gained nationwide championships and we've not gained convention championships,'' Leavitt mentioned. "What provides us the best to take a seat there impulsively like we have gained most of these championships and performed all these things? That isn't me. That is by no means been me.
"I are not looking for any individual to ever assume that right here I AM the man having anything else to do with that. That bothers me. … I DO NOT need other folks to take a seat there and assume I FEEL we are all that – as a result of we are not. We are a software that is looking to get aggressive. We are a software seeking to build.''
I enjoy Leavitt's humility, on the other hand... that is a beautiful nice billboard for selling USF football, that's precisely what the promoting division must do.
Should they've requested the instruct? Sure, however... nice billboard.
